The Village Pantry Coalition

The Village Pantry Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established by a coalition of churches, village administration, community organizations, and residents to provide temporary food assistance to Evergreen Park residents facing emergency situations caused by unemployment, illness, fire, or other unforeseen circumstances. Located at 2704 W. 98th Place in a former firehouse, the pantry operates in partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository and serves approximately 200 families monthly. In 2021, the organization expanded its mission to include emergency financial assistance following a merger with A Healthier Evergreen, Inc.
