Sarah’s Inn

Sarah’s Inn is a nonprofit organization founded in 1980 by concerned women in River Forest and Oak Park to address the shortage of domestic violence services, and has grown into one of the largest and most comprehensive domestic violence agencies serving Chicago and 22 surrounding West Cook County communities from its hub location in Forest Park. The organization operates three core program areas: an Intervention Program providing crisis support and safety planning, a Prevention Program offering school-based education to youth, and a Training and Education Program creating networks of community advocates, while also engages in significant community partnerships like the Safe Bridge Housing initiative with Housing Forward to provide temporary housing and support services for families fleeing domestic violence.
