Heavens Kitchen Food Pantry

Heaven’s Kitchen Food Pantry is a nonprofit food distribution program operated by the Fowler-Bonan Foundation, serving families and individuals across southern Illinois from its location at 404 Seright Street in Harrisburg. Originally launched seven years ago as a weekly meal kitchen, the organization transitioned to a full food pantry in May 2025, now distributing free bags of groceries to hundreds of families every Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In addition to regular food distributions, Heaven’s Kitchen offers a “Backpack for Kids” program, provides fresh produce when available, and hosts community events like holiday turkey giveaways and summer block parties to engage and support the local community.
