HCS Family Services

Founded in 1937 as Hinsdale Community Services, HCS Family Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located at 22 N Elm Street in Hinsdale, Illinois that provides emergency food assistance and social service referrals to individuals and families facing food insecurity in southeast DuPage County and far western Cook County. Operating two food pantries in Hinsdale and Willowbrook, the organization distributes approximately 600,000 pounds of food annually through a client-choice model that allows people to select items meeting their dietary needs, while also providing diapers, personal care items, and holiday gift assistance. Supported by more than 400 volunteers and donations from the community and local retail partners, HCS Family Services serves over 400 families each week and is dedicated to preventing food insecurity with dignity and without judgment.
