Guardian Angel Community Services

Guardian Angel Community Services is a licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based at 168 N. Ottawa Street in Joliet, Illinois, founded in 1897 as an orphanage run by the Sisters of Saint Francis of Mary Immaculate. The organization operates six core programs serving children and families in need, including the Exchange Club Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect, the Groundwork Domestic Violence Program, the Sexual Assault Service Center, Suzy’s Caring Place, Adult Protective Services, and Foster Care, offering emergency shelter, counseling, and legal and medical advocacy services. As Will County’s oldest nonprofit and a member of the United Way of Will and Grundy Counties and the Illinois Coalitions Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, Guardian Angel Community Services has been saving and changing lives for over 125 years.
