Northern Illinois Food Bank – South Suburban Center

The Northern Illinois Food Bank – South Suburban Center in Joliet, located at 171 South Larkin Avenue, opened in 2018 as one of four distribution centers serving 13 counties across Northern Illinois. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and proud member of Feeding America, the organization provides 250,000 meals a day by partnering with manufacturers, retailers, farmers, corporations, and volunteers to evaluate, repack, and distribute food to more than 900 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and youth and senior feeding programs throughout the region.
