Community Assisted Rides

Community Assisted Rides (CARS) is a La Grange-based nonprofit organization that provides safe, accompanied transportation for seniors aged 60 and older to medical appointments, grocery stores, fitness classes, and other life-enhancing activities. Founded in 2001, the organization operates through a dedicated network of volunteers who enable older adults to maintain their independence and community connections. Beyond its ride program, CARS also operates a library homebound delivery service and community care initiatives serving residents of Lyons, south Proviso, and Riverside townships.
