Community United Methodist Church

Community United Methodist Church, located at 109 South Washington Street in Manito, Illinois, has roots dating back to the 1850s when traveling Methodist ministers established the first congregation in the area. The church serves the Manito and Mason County communities through Sunday worship services, ministries including a praise band and youth group, community outreach programs such as a food pantry, and Bible study classes. Rebuilt in 1931 after a fire destroyed the original structure and dedicated in 1936, the church remains an active nonprofit religious organization led by Pastor Steven Oaks and engaged in worship, mission work, and community service.
