South Suburban Humane Society Adoption Center

The South Suburban Humane Society Adoption Center, located at 21800 Central Avenue in Matteson, Illinois, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 1970 to provide animal shelter and adoption services to the south suburbs of Chicago. Operating a 19,000 square foot animal resource campus, the organization cares for more than 4,000 pets annually and offers an adoption center, a low-cost spay and neuter clinic, a low-cost veterinary services clinic, and a resource center for lost pets and animal welfare education. The organization serves a regional community that extends across multiple states and annually impacts approximately 20,000 pets and their families through its comprehensive services.
