The Salvation Army Mattoon

The Salvation Army Mattoon is a nonprofit worship and community center located at 1300 Richmond Avenue in Mattoon, Illinois, dedicated to meeting basic needs and assisting area residents. The organization provides a wide range of services including food pantries, utility and rental assistance, emergency shelter, affordable housing, youth programs, and operates a family thrift store. As part of the international Salvation Army movement, the Mattoon corps is committed to “doing the most good” in the community and serves all individuals regardless of background or belief.
