School Street Food Pantry

School Street Food Pantry is a nonprofit charity organization serving college and vocational school students experiencing food insecurity in the Bloomington-Normal, Illinois area. Located at 211 North School Street inside First United Methodist Church, the volunteer-operated pantry provides nutritious food, personal hygiene items, and educational resources on healthy eating, cooking, budgeting, and government assistance to currently enrolled students from Illinois State University, Illinois Wesleyan University, Heartland Community College, and other institutions in McLean County. Founded and established with tax-exempt nonprofit status in August 2024, the pantry partners with campus and community organizations to raise awareness about student food insecurity and related social challenges affecting student health and well-being.
