Hunger Resource Network

Hunger Resource Network is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Northbrook, IL dedicated to alleviating hunger throughout the Chicagoland area. Founded in April 2009, the organization connects those with surplus food to food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters, having distributed over 5 million pounds of food to nearly 100 agencies across the region. Their primary program, Poultry to Pantries, provides hundreds of thousands of pounds of protein annually through twice-yearly Community Outreach Days, while also supporting student food security and assisting seniors in accessing local food resources.
