Beyond Hunger

Beyond Hunger, formerly the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry, is a nonprofit organization based in Oak Park, Illinois, that has served the community for over 40 years. The organization provides comprehensive hunger relief services to over 69,000 individuals annually across 13 zip codes in Cook County, including Oak Park and surrounding west side communities, offering food pantry distribution, nutrition education taught by registered dietitians, benefits assistance, and summer meal programs for children. Located at 848 Lake Street in Oak Park, Beyond Hunger recently announced plans to expand to a larger 6,000-square-foot facility to better serve its growing client base and reduce the burden on its current church basement location.
