JOURNEYS | The Road Home is a nonprofit organization established in 2001 that provides shelter, social services, and housing to individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity across 37 towns in north and northwest suburban Cook County and southern Lake County, Illinois. Located at 1140 E Northwest Highway in Palatine, the organization operates multiple programs including emergency shelter sites, the HOPE Center for clinical and therapeutic services, supportive housing, and a food pantry in partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository. JOURNEYS serves its mission through mental health counseling, vocational rehabilitation, housing assistance, and community engagement to help stabilize lives and build pathways to independence.
