First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church is a large United Methodist congregation established in 1833 and located at 116 NE Perry Ave in downtown Peoria, Illinois. It is the oldest Protestant church in Peoria and operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with multiple worship services including traditional, contemporary, and bilingual options. The church is actively involved in community service through programs like its Loaves & Fish feeding ministry, which has provided food for those in need every Saturday since 1994, along with ESL classes, youth programs, and other outreach initiatives.
