Sophia’s Kitchen

Sophia’s Kitchen is a nonprofit soup kitchen and food pantry operated by the Heart of Peoria Catholic Community, serving those in need from its location at 105 N Richard Pryor Place in Peoria since 2010. The ministry provides daily sack lunches Monday through Friday, maintains a Friday food pantry, offers pet food assistance, and delivers spiritual guidance and health support services to hungry and vulnerable individuals in the community. Open without requiring ID or proof of income, Sophia’s Kitchen serves approximately 10,000 people monthly through the generosity of volunteers and donations from local businesses and food banks.
