About
The Illinois Valley Food Pantry, founded in October 1982, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential food assistance to families in need throughout LaSalle County, Illinois. Serving approximately 750 families monthly and supporting over 13,000 individuals in 2024, the pantry recently relocated to a larger facility at 4133 Progress Boulevard in Peru. The pantry offers monthly food distribution, a summer “Feed Our Children” program for school-age children, and accepts monetary and food donations from the community, with strong partnerships including the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation.
