Christian Care

Christian Care is a nonprofit organization founded in 1916 in Rock Island, Illinois, dedicated to serving homeless men, women, and children through safe shelter, meal services, and comprehensive support programs. Located at 2209 3rd Avenue, the organization operates a 42-bed men’s shelter with six beds reserved for veterans, a 20-bed women’s shelter, and a community meal site that serves meals seven days a week. Beyond shelter services, Christian Care provides street outreach, case management, counseling, skills training, and operates as a warming and cooling center, helping individuals work toward stability and independence.
