Second Baptist Church

Second Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation located at 919 6th Ave in Rock Island, Illinois, serving the Quad Cities area. Founded in 1873 as McKinley Chapel before being renamed, the church is committed to being an inclusive, gospel-centered community that connects people to God through spiritual education, contemporary worship, and various outreach ministries including youth programs and community services. Under the leadership of Rev. Joseph D. Williamson III since 1993, the church has expanded its mission and established the SBC Family Life Center in 2002 to further enrich the lives of its congregation and surrounding community.
