Shelter Care Ministries – The Jubilee Center

Shelter Care Ministries – The Jubilee Center is a nonprofit day program located at 413 N. Court Street in Rockford, Illinois, serving adults living with chronic mental illness who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Since its establishment in 1982 as an outreach of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Shelter Care has expanded to offer supportive housing programs and the Jubilee Center, which provides members with case management, counseling, medical care, meals, and social opportunities. The organization is recognized as one of only 600 Jubilee Centers throughout the world, operating as one of the 600 centers that promote peace and compassion for marginalized individuals in the community.
