Helping Hands of Springfield is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1989 dedicated to providing homeless services to single adults 18 and older in Springfield and Sangamon County, Illinois. Located at 1023 E. Washington Street, the organization operates an emergency shelter with day services, a Representative Payee Program for financial management, and a Permanent Supported Housing Program offering 24 units of subsidized housing with comprehensive case management and advocacy. In addition to shelter and housing services, Helping Hands provides integrated mental health and primary care services, meals, legal support, art therapy, and intensive case management designed to help individuals transition to stable, independent living.
