Washington St Mission

Washington Street Mission is a nonprofit organization located at 408 North 4th Street in Springfield, Illinois, founded in 1910 to serve the city’s homeless and impoverished populations. The Mission provides spiritual and physical support to individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, mental illness, and substance abuse disorders, offering services such as meals, clothing, and transitional housing while creating a welcoming community that helps people rebuild their faith and lives. With over a century of community involvement, the organization serves more than 100 people daily and remains dedicated to sharing compassion and guidance with all who come through their doors.
