Hangers of Hope

Originally operating as the Closest of Hope at the Church of the Brethren for five years, the organization opened its current downtown location on the Virden square on March 4, 2023, under the ownership of Sally Smith and Michael White. The business operates as a community-focused donation center and thrift store, serving the Virden area and surrounding communities with Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday hours.
