Our Caring Closet

Our Caring Closet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located at 205 N. First Street in Wilmington, IL that has provided free clothing, household goods, and other necessities to families in need since its founding in 2008. The organization distributes gently used children’s and adult clothing, baby furniture, books, toys, and housewares in a dignified atmosphere to individuals from across multiple communities, including single parents, homeless individuals, teens seeking prom attire, and residents of veteran’s homes. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon, Our Caring Closet operates entirely on community donations and serves anyone in need, making all items available at no cost to visitors.
