Operation Blessing Ptc – Food Distribution Center

Operation Blessing People That Care (PTC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit food distribution center located at 18 East Lorena Avenue in Wood River, Illinois. Founded in 1982 by Virginia Kirkpatrick, who began collecting food for unemployed neighbors in her garage, the organization has grown to serve an estimated 100,000 meals annually and has provided approximately 4 million meals over its history. The center distributes food supplemented by the USDA’s Emergency Food Assistance Program and Commodity Supplemental Food Program, along with clothing, hygiene items, and household goods, all funded through community donations and partnerships with the St. Louis Area Foodbank.
