Fresh Start Market Food Pantry at Franciscan Health

Fresh Start Market Food Pantry is a program of Franciscan Health that provides free, healthy food including proteins, fruits, vegetables, and grains to families in need throughout Marion and Johnson counties. The pantry, which opened in 2023 as part of Franciscan Health's community health initiatives, operates with a particular focus on serving people with medically restrictive diets and operates as a shopping-style experience that promotes dignity and self-sufficiency. It is supported through partnerships with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, the Franciscan Health Foundation, and grants from community organizations.
