Harshman Magnet Middle School: Viking Galley Food Pantry

The Viking Galley Food Pantry is a food pantry operated at H.L. Harshman Magnet Middle School serving the Indianapolis community. Operated in partnership with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, the pantry has become a significant community resource, with student-led efforts helping it expand from serving approximately 15 families monthly to more than 30 families as of November 2025. The pantry exemplifies the school's commitment to community service and was recognized as part of H.L. Harshman Middle School's designation as a Kind School by the Teach Kindness initiative.
