Food Bank of NorthwestIndiana

The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, founded in 1982, is the only food bank serving Lake and Porter Counties and operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The organization serves as a USDA-approved primary distributor of food to local pantries, shelters, daycare centers, and soup kitchens, distributing millions of pounds of food annually through a network of community agencies. The Food Bank works to address food insecurity while also advancing solutions to the root causes of hunger through advocacy, nutrition education, and community partnerships.
