ISU SHOP (Students Helping Our Peers) | Food Pantry

SHOP (Students Helping Our Peers) is a student-run, on-campus food pantry founded in 2011 by Iowa State University students in the Food Science and Human Nutrition program. Located at 1306 Beyer Hall in Ames, Iowa, SHOP provides free, confidential access to non-perishable foods, fresh produce, frozen items, and personal care products to Iowa State students and the broader Ames community, serving approximately 2,000 students monthly. Staffed by over 150 student volunteers, the organization operates as a student-led initiative dedicated to alleviating food insecurity while raising hunger awareness on campus and in the surrounding community.
