Mid Iowa Community Action Agency – Food Distribution Center

Mid-Iowa Community Action, Inc. (MICA) operates an emergency food distribution center in Ames at 230 SE 16th Street, serving residents throughout Hardin, Poweshiek, and Story counties. As a nonprofit organization, MICA provides monthly emergency food boxes containing three to five days of food and offers daily access to fresh items from community partners. The organization strives to reduce food insecurity by providing emergency food assistance and connecting families to additional support services and resources in their Story County Family Development Center.
