Lutheran Church of Hope Ankeny-The Cupboard Food Pantry

The Cupboard at Lutheran Church of Hope Ankeny, located at 520 NW 36th Street in Ankeny, IA, is a community food pantry launched in 2005 that provides food and personal care items to families in need throughout northern Polk County. Open every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the pantry allows guests to visit twice monthly and receive non-perishable foods, fresh produce, meat, bread, and toiletries, with free professional haircuts available on the first Friday of each month. As part of Lutheran Church of Hope, a faith-based organization, The Cupboard operates with community volunteers and partners with the Food Bank of Iowa to support local families in the Des Moines area.
