Community Action of Southeast Iowa

Community Action of Southeast Iowa, founded in 1965, is a nonprofit organization serving Des Moines, Henry, Lee, and Louisa counties from its central office at 2850 Mt. Pleasant Street, Suite 108, in Burlington. The agency offers comprehensive services including Head Start/Early Head Start, food pantry assistance, housing programs, utility assistance through LIHEAP, job counseling, and nutritional support through WIC to help low-income families achieve greater self-sufficiency. Community Action of Southeast Iowa operates multiple centers throughout the region and serves its community through diverse social assistance programs while promoting stronger, more independent families.
