Cultivate Hope Urban Farm

Cultivate Hope Urban Farm is an initiative of Matthew 25, a Cedar Rapids-based nonprofit founded in 2006, and operates as Iowa’s first urban farm at 437 G Ave NW. The farm grows fresh produce sustainably on two acres to address food insecurity in the northwest Cedar Rapids neighborhood, which had been designated as a food desert. Beyond production, the farm functions as an educational space offering community gardens, youth employment programs, farmers markets, and workshops, while selling affordable produce through the Cultivate Hope Corner Store with discounted pricing for income-qualified households.
