HACAP Urban Office

HACAP Urban Office is a location of the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program, a nonprofit organization founded in 1965 to respond to local needs in Eastern Iowa. Located at 1328 2nd Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids, the Urban Office serves as a family resource center providing various assistance programs including energy assistance (LIHEAP), WIC services, emergency cooling programs, and housing support for low-income families and individuals. As part of HACAP’s comprehensive network serving nine Eastern Iowa counties, the Cedar Rapids office helps residents access critical services addressing food insecurity, housing instability, and barriers to self-sufficiency.
