St. Paul’s United Methodist Church

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, located at 1340 3rd Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was founded in 1840 as one of the earliest Methodist congregations in the region. The current sanctuary was designed by renowned architect Louis Sullivan and completed in 1914, earning the church a place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. As an active United Methodist congregation, the church serves the Cedar Rapids community through worship services and faith-based ministries.
