Waypoint Services

Since 1894, Waypoint Services has served the Cedar Rapids community as a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives through housing services, domestic violence victim services, support for crime survivors, and affordable child care. Located at 318 5th St SE in Cedar Rapids, Waypoint began as the local Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) chapter and has evolved to support nearly 15,000 individuals annually through programs including homeless diversion, rapid re-housing, emergency shelter coordination, and KidsPoint child care serving over 600 children daily. All services are free and confidential, reflecting Waypoint’s commitment to empowering individuals and families experiencing housing instability, poverty, or violence.
