Congregation of the Humility of Mary

The Congregation of the Humility of Mary is a contemporary religious community of women based in Davenport, Iowa, founded in France in 1854 with roots in Iowa since around 1884. The organization serves the community through spiritual retreats at Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat Center, Humility Homes and Services for individuals experiencing homelessness, and various social justice ministries guided by their commitment to simplicity, humility, and joy. Located at 820 West Central Park Avenue, the nonprofit congregation fosters peace, spiritual growth, and community outreach through its ministries and retreat programs.
