YWCA Iowa Empowerment Center

The YWCA Quad Cities Empowerment Center is a nonprofit organization located at 1115 Mississippi Avenue in Davenport, Iowa, dedicated to helping women and families overcome barriers to self-sufficiency through essential resources and support services. The center, which opened on River Drive in 2019 before expanding to its current larger facility, provides immediate needs pantry services, free community laundry and showers, a clothing closet, computer access, financial literacy programs, and individualized assistance plans designed to keep families and individuals out of poverty long-term. The Empowerment Center welcomes women, men, and families from both Iowa and Illinois residents seeking compassionate support and practical resources to help them build more stable, prosperous lives.
