Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) – Food Pantry Network

The Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) is a nonprofit interfaith organization founded in 1952 that operates the largest food pantry network in Iowa. Since 1976, DMARC’s Food Pantry Network has provided food assistance to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity across the greater Des Moines area, operating 14-15 partner pantry sites, mobile food pantry locations, home delivery services, and warehouse operations across Des Moines, Ankeny, Clive, Johnston, Urbandale, and West Des Moines. The organization distributes three-day supplies of nutritionally balanced food to visitors once per month and has assisted over 53,000 unique individuals annually, while also advocating for policies to address the root causes of poverty and food insecurity.
