Upper Des Moines Opportunity

Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. (UDMO) is a nonprofit community action agency located at 221 West Broadway in Eagle Grove, Iowa, dedicated to helping build stronger communities by addressing the effects of poverty on individuals and families. Established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, UDMO is one of 18 community action agencies in Iowa and serves residents across 13 counties with programs including food pantry services, weatherization assistance, energy bill assistance (LIHEAP), nutrition programs like WIC and Head Start, and garden programs. The organization serves low-income families, seniors, disabled veterans, the unemployed, and other vulnerable populations throughout the Upper Des Moines region.
