University of Iowa – Food Pantry
About
Food Pantry at Iowa is a student-run organization located on the ground floor of the Iowa Memorial Union (G200 IMU) that provides free, nutritious food and basic necessities to University of Iowa students, faculty, and staff facing food insecurity. Founded nearly a decade ago by undergraduates who recognized the need on campus, the pantry serves all community members with a university ID and offers items including fresh produce, protein, dairy, pasta, canned goods, breakfast items, snacks, and toiletries. Beyond direct service, the organization is committed to combating food insecurity through education and advocacy, supported by the generosity of the University community and local donors who contribute through cash donations, product donations, and fundraising initiatives.
