Lansing Iowa Food Trust (L.i.f.t.) – Food Pantry

The Lansing Iowa Food Trust (LIFT) is a nonprofit food pantry that opened in October 2018 to serve residents in need in Lansing, Iowa and surrounding communities. Founded by community volunteers who recognized food insecurity in their area, LIFT provides free groceries to eligible individuals and families, with the organization operating on donations and volunteer support. The pantry has gained recognition for its community-centered mission, including being named Iowa’s “Nicest Place” by Reader’s Digest in 2019, and continues to serve the Allamakee County area in partnership with the Northeast Iowa Food Bank.
