Marion Cares

Marion Cares is a faith-based nonprofit organization in Marion, Iowa, founded in 2007, that provides advocacy, connections, and services to meet the basic needs of families and children in the Linn-Mar and Marion Independent School Districts. Located at 1298 7th Avenue, the organization offers programs including rent assistance for eviction prevention, after-school programs, backpack drives, mentoring relationships, and care coordination to help families navigate community resources. With support from over 20 congregations that volunteer and donate, Marion Cares serves two identified neighborhoods through specialized programs designed to break down barriers and create equal opportunities for families in need.
