House of Compassion

House of Compassion is a nonprofit organization located at 211 W. Church Street in Marshalltown, Iowa that has served the community for 30 years. The organization provides free evening meals, a supply closet with household and personal items, prescription and dental assistance vouchers, and client assistance programs to low-income individuals, families, and homeless residents of Marshall County. The House of Compassion operates with a mission to “reach out with the love of Christ through practical acts of love” and is supported by funding from the United Way and the community.
