Oelwien Community Kitchen

The Oelwein Community Kitchen Cupboard is a food pantry located at 31 First Avenue N.E. in Oelwein, Iowa, that provides emergency food assistance to families in need. Founded nearly 50 years ago by local ministers and lay people, the organization is overseen by the Council of Churches and operated primarily by volunteers, serving residents of the Oelwein and West Central School Districts. The Kitchen Cupboard helps eligible families up to four times a year, providing enough food for one to two weeks, and serves approximately 50 families during the holiday season through anonymous donations and community support.
