St. Vincent de Paul Society

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, District Council of Waterloo, is a Catholic lay nonprofit organization serving the Waterloo area and Northeast Iowa with emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities, as well as food, clothing, furniture, and household necessities. Founded as a formal council in 1950, the organization operates two thrift stores in Waterloo and Cedar Falls, distributes Christmas assistance to hundreds of families annually, and provides volunteer-driven services inspired by Gospel values to those in need.
