St Vincent De Paul Society

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, District Council of Waterloo, is a Catholic nonprofit organization providing emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities, as well as free clothing, furniture, and household items to low-income families and individuals in Northeast Iowa. Founded locally in 1950 as a unified council of parish conferences, the organization operates two thrift stores in Waterloo and Cedar Falls that generate revenue to support its programs, and distributes Christmas assistance to approximately 500 families annually. The nonprofit serves residents of Black Hawk County and is located in Waterloo, Iowa.
