West Des Moines Human Services – Food Distribution Center

West Des Moines Human Services has been assisting low-income, older seniors and disabled residents since 1979 and currently provides support to more than 2,000 households in West Des Moines and surrounding western suburbs. The DMARC Food Pantry at West Des Moines Human Services, located at 139 6th Street, offers fresh produce, meat, canned goods, and other essential food items to help families meet their short-term food needs, with no income or residency requirements and serving as one of 14 DMARC Food Pantry sites in the Des Moines area. The organization also provides a range of additional services including emergency assistance for rent and utilities, clothing assistance, youth recreational support, and various community programs to help residents achieve healthy, stable, and productive lives.
