First Church United – Food Pantry

The West Liberty Area Food Pantry, housed at First Church United in West Liberty, Iowa, has been serving the community since 1983. The food pantry operates as part of the Voluntary Action Center, established in 1977 by area churches and service organizations to meet the needs of those less fortunate in the West Liberty, Atalissa, and Nichols area. Operating on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, the pantry serves approximately 400 individuals annually and serves families with incomes at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level.
