Avenue of Life – Equipping Center – Food Distribution Center

Avenue of Life is a nonprofit backbone organization located at 500 N 7th Street Trafficway in Kansas City, KS that operates an Equipping Center providing comprehensive community services to at-risk populations in the urban core. The center offers a food pantry open to the public on the first and third Saturdays of each month, along with classes in GED, ESL, nutrition, personal finance, and employment, plus clothing distribution and wraparound services for families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Using a collective impact approach, Avenue of Life serves approximately 4,500 unduplicated individuals annually through its Impact KCK and KCPS Empowerment programs, partnering with other agencies to provide specialized services and resources under one roof.
